They have given out some good speccies in recent times : [excluding call/put options] = Tomahawk, Nuenco, Orchard Petroleum etc etc. Worth registering on their website for useful info. Structural Monitoring Systems joined the sharemarket lists for the first time on Monday the 16th Aug, and the 25c shares opened at 18c and traded between 19c and 15.5c before settling at 16.5c.

The 1-for-1 free options opened at 4.2c, covered a range of 5c/4.1c and settled at 4.7c. In the first two hours more than 4.5 million of the 145.2 million shares on issue were traded.

 

Structural Monitoring Systems is involved in the development and commercialisation of technology for testing and monitoring structural integrity of materials that are subject to stress and fatigue in structures such as aircraft, ships, rolling stock and power plants.

 

The company owns all of the rights to the patented Comparative Vacuum Monitoring technology. CVM is a technology that can detect and monitor materials for very early signs of stress, corrosion and fatigue cracking. It can also monitor progression of these defects in real-time.

The Company is still trading below its issue price but has picked up nicely over the last few days. It may be worth keeping an eye on as any motivated sellers (the company has been unlisted for many years and a listing provides a selling opportunity) leave the market over this early stage.

Opened at 22c today but last I saw was 20.5c, down 0.5c from yesterday.

I'm looking to buy on any weakness at around 18c. Just need a negative market day.

Still researching but looks a good play with the right entry price.

This company don't put out much info, nice to hear about the blackhawk deal though. It's just a pity all the trials take so long. I can understand the reasons why, stuff it up, plane crashes. Not good!!

 

The trials in US have probably died a natural death as just about all the airlines are going broke.

Another 2 about to sign up for bankruptcy protection.

 

Hopefully they can continue with the military side of things, war is a big business these days.

(US has spent $400 Billion in Iraq so far.)

This company imo will become a very big earner for shareholders.

They appear to almost have Airbus signed up for their A380 super jumbo

and also their A350.

If this deal is formalised huge ongoing payments should start to flow into SMN.

The other blue sky I see is the interest from various military operators world wide.

On top of this they are currently in discussions with Boeing.

Everything seems to be going to plan at this point.

 

Mind you I have been wrong before, but I'm on right track this time I hope.

The new CEO flew to Seattle for some high level talks with Boeing executives on Sunday.

Seems like Boeing are also quite interested in SMN technology. All pointers are heading in

the right direction with this one.

Looks like there might be an announcement about this soon, buyers stacking up. This is high volume and price movement for this stock.

 

Just cracked 26.5 all time high.

Expect some resistance in this area. There'd be a few IPO holders that would love to get out break even or even a small profit.

I think people are fed up waiting for an announcement after such a volume increase.

 

I was time stopped out, so any announcement will happen immediately and the price will crack $1 with deals with every major aircraft manufacturer. LOL!

 

Still I've made a quid (always like to make more though)

 

It'll stay on the watch list.
