Yes, that part of it looks right but TOL was supposed to benefit from the deal as well - after all it was their idea - but the TOL SP is down over 4% today!

But I guess that's TOL's problem, not VBA's.

TOLL will benefit as its still has 25% holding in VBA but its off loaded its parent obligations and will make the ord toll holders full own holders of the stock they will run the the VBA biz makes every one happy not to say Sir R B..

VBA is now a takeover stock 2 largest in AU and in a good running position any one of the majors will have a crack at it, only thing is air fuel then they all have that,,

VBA is worth $AU1.00 a BARGAIN.. http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/king.gif

Air Daily reckons that TOL will distribute 98.3% of its VBA holding, leaving it with 11 million shares. If this is correct, I can't see VBA being material to TOL's fortunes in future.

This takeover speculation doesn't make sense to me.

Isn't it easier to deal with one motivated major shareholder than try and tempt many individual shareholders (who admittedly did not want the shares in the first place) to sell. I must be missing something. I thought the in specie distibution would be a negative for the share price ie: a big over hang of willing sellers who just want the cash. http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/stun.gif

AS stated WED VBA could hit $1.00 well yesterday touched 70cent up from 50 cents, Mr P Little

had been on the biz channels talking up the deal and in the present market state sounds like a good MOVE.. http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/king.gif

Oh dear - I had VBA on my watch list for a long time wathcing it fall and as soon as it hit the 50c range - i was going to buy buy buy - That was the plan then i got too spooked by the market and decided not to buy anything more at all - ... now look at it - live and learn.
