Perhaps deserve was a tad harsh but in essence we agree. The lady may well have made a good investment for them if the properties are showing a good return, perhaps it may be a good oppertunity for them to get out of white goods and into property investments after all they may now have a reasonable portfolio.

They seem to have what it takes :P

Most companies have at least two that authorise/are signatories for payments, so it would appear little Miss Payroll manager had a bit more power than she should have.

"Her spree added up to more than the listed retailer's pre-tax earnings in the 2008 financial year of $17.3 million."

I could understand BHP, CBA, etc not noticing a missing $20m but a company who's pre-tax earnings was $17.3m...sorry management have big case to answer.

If it was over 10 years one could partly understand... but 18 months, thats an average of $1.1m per month.

Cheers

Matt

It was reported this morning on TEN morning news that (listen to this) mobile phones are as addictive as cigarettes.............mmmm, who of you out there smokes their mobile?????????????

Have you ever seen any one smoking a mobile phone - maybe there should be WARNING labels on mobiles:

"WARNING, SMOKING THIS MOBILE PHONE CAN BE ADDICTIVE AND DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH"

Dog in Northern Territory given parking ticket

A DOG has been booked for illegal parking. The blue heeler was tied to a fence outside Darwin's Rapid Creek market when it was approached by two city council traffic wardens, the Northern Territory News reports.

One of the inspectors wrote out a ticket - and taped it to the dog's lead.

Witness Ray McEvoy said he couldn't believe his eyes.
