Hi Flash,

Thanks for your reply. From what TAP says on their website, Barque is really big - (5TCF/800 mmbbls gas/condensate!). So it will be very interesting to see which one they go with. I'm tending to think they will go with Barque, purely as it is a very large wildcat that could pay massive dividends, whilst they go after smaller less-risked wells in the Carnarvon and Taranki basins to generate some cashflow.

I currently do not have a position in TAP, but am definitely putting them at the top of my oiler watchlist. An entry around March would be optimal I believe, before they start Maier-1, Laudra-1, Snoz-1, and (Galleon South or Barque).

Cheers

Looks like TAP is gearing up for a push through the $2.00 resistance level.

TAP has plenty of cash and has a pretty full on drilling programme planned - any success will see sharp upside in the share price.

Downside is limited by the company's current buyback operation.

TAP is one of the better risk/ reward plays around - with the weighting heavily skewed towards the "reward" bias.

I hold TAP (but exited positions in ROC and AWE on the back of negative Cliffhead sentiment.)

Hi x,

I agree given a little luck with the drill. Didn't get hit on my $1.77 bid on Friday unfortunately so looking to buy the dips. Considering forecasted production is expected to come off some 500Kboe for the current half, just playing the waiting game. (Share buy back limit $1.88 from memory) Production for the half to Dec 4 was around 2.7mmboe compared to a predicted 2.3mmboe for the current half. Of course, success in their Woollybutt, Harriet JV drills (4 from memory) this month gives hope for quick tie ins which should address the expected natural field decline in the current half.

Overall good value trading at 6 times earnings. Just need more on the horizon to please the market.

Good Luck holders!

Cheers,

xmagx

TAP candlestick chart is showing some bullish indicators:

-on 25/2; 28/2 & 1/3 we saw the classic bullish three white soldiers candlestick pattern with the last candle seeing TAP close above its all time high.

- the 14 day crossover moving average is above the 25 day crossover moving average AND the shareprice is above the line of both averages (a bullish indicator)

- today's close and share price action was strong.

- the breakout in the TAP shareprice (25/2 to 2/3) has been accompanied by solid volume.

The technicals are lining up for this one.

(I doubled my holding in TAP today on the strength of both TA and FA indications ... also 'fingers & toes crossed')

In their investment case Euroz say they continue to remain impressed by TapÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€Â ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¾ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢s pipeline of drill targets ahead (particularly around Woollybutt) and its potential to add to reserves and production and TAP has a strong balance sheet of around $91 million cash to fund developments and other opportunities as they arise. Euroz say that the current buy-back should limit any short term downside from production downgrades.

TAP is planning 35 wells in CYÃÆâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâ€Â ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¾Ã‚¢ÃƒÆ’ƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¡ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬ÃƒÆ’Æâ€â„¢ÃƒÆ’ƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢ÃƒÆ’¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚¬Ãƒâ€¦Ã‚¡ÃƒÆ’‚¬Ãƒâ€Â¦ÃƒÆ’‚¾ÃƒÆ’â€Å¡Ãƒƒâہ¡ÃƒÆ’‚¢05 at a cost of ~$40m. The program includes at least 5 wells in the Woollybutt area (with TAP have 15% and 25%), 13 HJV wells (TAP having 12%) and various higher than normal impact wells in the Carnarvon Basin and offshore NZ.
