Took a look at ML's twitter for the first time this afternoon - I thought HC was bad for ramping..

The more I look into this the better it gets. A little bit more appreciation in the SP and you've gotta think a short trade is on the cards. Implied project value of over a billion dollars based on 7 drill holes and historical data. The size and strike length of the pegmatites suggest Tantalex and even 4CE are odds on chance of finding more of the stuff - might even be a pairs trade strategy on this.

I recall not that long ago a gold stock being heavily promoted - everyone on it expected to buy a Porsche when their boat came in - they'd be lucky to be riding a push bike now - the company went broke and the promoters vanished

In particular, Lowry has found himself clashing with the backers of AVZ Minerals, which is evaluating the Manono lithium deposit in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The stock has soared from 2c to 30.75c in the past year, taking its market capitalisation beyond $550 million. Lowry has consistently warned about the challenges facing AVZ but has often found himself under fire in various corners of the Twittersphere and internet chat forums.

 

"I think a lot of the bad choices are being bailed out by the rising market," Lowry says. "I see people saying I'm going to invest in this company or that company but they have no real analysis why. They'll see something on Twitter and they'll roll the dice."

 

His critics say the spectacular rise of AVZ's shares prove him wrong, but there is a difference between being lucky and being smart.

 

"If you want to be part of the lithium casino then go ahead and do that, but that's not what I do because the odds of AVZ actually being built are almost nil," he said. "When you're that far from the coast in a country with issues like the DRC have, (why would you invest when) there are so many other good options for lithium projects?"

Bit of overkill of progress reporting?? One would expect any company entering into an MOU would want to send in their team to do DD before signing a "binding" (such as they appear to be, but there's always fine print and get out clauses) agreement.

In a TH - anything to do with all that promotion on twitter? How much longer before ASIC reins in this behaviour - we've seen twitter abused by so many ASX listed companies via their promoters/cheerleaders with the constant bombardment of "nudge nudge wink wink" tweets used in order to pump the SP. Each time there's a please explain from ASX, the response usually is the same - we know nothing Most of the penny dreadful companies monitor social media - like HC - and in some cases management engage in discussions on twitter - and they claim they don't know why their SP is being pumped, or dumped?
