  1. Like you saying this kind of bigoted BS?
  2. There is no indication that the Oxford-AstraZeneca Covid-19 vaccine is linked to an increased risk of blood clots, the EU's medicines regulator says. It said the number of cases in vaccinated people was no higher than in the general population. The statement came after a number of countries, including Denmark and Norway, suspended the use of the jab. The suspension followed reports that a small number of people had developed clots after receiving the vaccine. There were also reports that a 50-year-old man had died in Italy after developing deep vein thrombosis (DVT) following a dose of the jab. "There is currently no indication that vaccination has caused these conditions, which are not listed as side effects with this vaccine," the European Medicines Agency (EMA) said on Thursday. "The vaccine's benefits continue to outweigh its risks and the vaccine can continue to be administered while investigation of cases of thromboembolic events is ongoing," it added. It said there had been 30 cases of "thromboembolic events" among the five million Europeans who have received the jab. BBC site --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- And... An analysis of 17 million people vaccinated in the European Union and the United Kingdom found no evidence of an increased risk in blood clot conditions, an AstraZeneca spokesperson said on Sunday. "A careful review of all available safety data of more than 17 million people vaccinated in the European Union and UK with COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca has shown no evidence of an increased risk of pulmonary embolism, deep vein thrombosis or thrombocytopenia, in any defined age group, gender, batch or in any particular country," the company said. "In fact, the reported numbers of these types of events for COVID-19 Vaccine AstraZeneca are lower than the number that would have occurred naturally in the unvaccinated population." SBS news site
  3. In the company update towards the end, it does state "engagement with US investors and potential partners is on-going."
  4. I decided to hang in here. Currently suspended with a cap raise imminent. Latest drilling has confirmed a large lithium deposit with one hole 1.6km from the main site bearing decent results. One statement from them that raised my eyebrows was that the McDermitt deposit could make the USA self sufficient in Lithium. This from a company that is at times frustratingly low key in most things they say is quite something. Interested to see where the cap raise price in pitched and how much dilution will occur.
  5. It has now passed Bill passes house.
  6. Also from the CDC: Over 76 million doses of COVID-19 vaccines were administered in the United States from December 14, 2020, through March 1, 2021. During this time, VAERS received 1,381 reports of death (0.0018%) among people who received a COVID-19 vaccine. CDC and FDA physicians review each case report of death as soon as notified and CDC requests medical records to further assess reports. A review of available clinical information including death certificates, autopsy, and medical records revealed no evidence that vaccination contributed to patient deaths. CDC and FDA will continue to investigate reports of adverse events, including deaths, reported to VAERS I'll take the vaccine thanks.
  7. Spoke to soon J. Kiwis imploding.
  8. Apparently Maxwell has actually signed the seat and it will be auctioned for charity.Nice touch by him and the NZer's.
  9. Maxi left his signature on a seat back.
  10. When Root turns into a Jim Laker and still lose, you know the pitch is problematic. I'm no fan of bowler killer roads and 500 plus scores where average players look like Bradman, but a 2 day test , now that is ridiculous. There were more runs scored in the NZ v Australia T20 than that test.
  11. We do not have a covid emergency, that's why NZ and Aust. have not rushed into vaccinating. It allowed our regulators time to review the various phase testing data and make a more considered decision. They also get data from others countries as they go live. Israel have a special deal with Pfizer saying they will supply a lot of patient history and feedback in exchange for supply. It's a real life test, but considered appropriate by their gov't because they were losing thousands of people. here Most countries around the world are covid basket cases and vaccinations were emergency authorizations by their regulatory authorities.Example If China and Russia gave their people a dud vax there's no blow back, power is secure. If it happened here, it will become a make or break for a gov't. Morrison got his the same day, publicly, as did our first recipient. Same for the chief medical officer and a number of front liners. Albanese and Bandt got theirs a few days ago too, again publicly. NSW premier will get hers soon but she will be getting astra zeneca as will other leaders. It was planned this way so that people can see leaders "walking the walk" and getting either vax to increase confidence in the vaccine hesitant portion of the population.
  12. I think it maybe because they now make the kookaburra with a machine, not by hand. I dont think they get as prominent seam as they did. Maybe the leather or treatment is not as good. Old timer medium, fast/medium pacers like Max Walker, Gary Gilmour Bob Massie Terry Alderman used to be able to hoop it. As you say, even Thommo at express pace could bowl a nasty swinger. Starc can bowl an exceptional inswinger but he's been awful this season.
  13. That's extraordinary. Well done guys!
  14. It may get mid 1.90s today with some luck. Sellers drying up. Edit. Just did. 2 bucks maybe? Crazy but loving it.
  15. And it keeps going. Hanging in there. If they can arouse some US interest with things changing over there it could well run quite a bit higher. Volumes have picked up which is good to see. Not a bad update issued today. here
