Marsupial, You say oilers are investors, but most of the stocks you list as your achievements are on the back of punts, OEX in particular. I think people have learnt from the OEX debacle and are waiting to really see the colour of NEOs money over the next few months. I'm happy to hold and wait as I have been since September. Roll on this September and cash flow!

    OEX - OILEX LTD

I'd also like to say thanks to some of the cooler heads who have posted on this thread. I bought prior to Rookwood on the premise that OEX tended to tell a good story in the drill stage and was hoping for a quick few %. After the strike I read the comment/analysis of some of the supposed "Downrampers" and decided it was best to get out, even though it was still climbing. Sure I could have made more, but I'm glad I got out when I did, as even on day 1 of the Rookwood discovery OEX's trail of misleading/skewed info proved to be a portent of things to come. So thanks to all those blokes on here, IW in particular, who take the time to share their thoughts in an educated manner, it is very much appreciated.

I agree, iceman. No cash up front for the double the interest in the deep zone of JH-1, which if memory serves was in the region of 6 separate hydrocarbon zones over 1000ft. With testing due to begin in the next couple of weeks things should really be heating up before the end of summer

Exciting announcement. SELH must be a very promising play to plan 4 back to backers. Also good to read that Larner is in production and will be providing cash flow. Hopefully they can hook up Wallace ASAP as well. Looks like a fantasic next couple of months. If you're not in yet, get in now!

You have a good memory Slick. Back in the old Share Scene days of under 1000 members. It has been a fun year on the old OPL. Still at lot left to go yet as soon as we hear more news on JH-1 and the start of JH2. It had a dip yesterday, but seems to be coming back strong
  6. Kasper's bowling a treat. Flemming didn't last long.

Iceman, the term "moron" is harsh. Hell, people could have had their money elsewhere at the time making more on it. We can't all get out timing right, especially if you only got into OPL at 18c, when it had been at a third that price only a year ago.

Sorry Rick, more a case of misworded rather than misread. I was trying to say the upside was +$0.80 from the current valuation of $0.68. With a current SP of $0.435 it makes good reading anyway Hence a total risked upside value of $1.48. Thanks for pointing it out.

For all the OPLers out there here's the latest Baillieu Report on OPL. Anyne who holds should enjoy this. Anyone who doesn't might consider it after reading this report. As you can see they value the company at $0.68 as of NOW with now UPSIDE factored in. The risked upside in their estimates is $0.80. Good news for anyone who's been following this one for a while. With hopefully 2 wells to spud this month it should be an interesting end to the calendar year for all holders. I hold OPL. OPLNov04.pdf

Hey whizz, I also subscibed and have yet to receive mine
  11. Anybody here want to bat on that wicket in Mumbai? Cause I don't think anyone else on either side has enjoyed it much so far! Great knock by Marto, though

Well the long awaited positive announcement came through and was as well worded as the rest of these announcements have been. I'd appreciate others inputs on this but I believe this to be a real positive for the Company and can't believe the market reaction. 1,000 gross feet of potential hydrocarbon producing zones. I realise there's more work to be done, but cannot believe that a positive like this is already factored into the price. Comments most welcome from any of the oil community.
  13. Aussies batting 0/80. Good start boys

  15. It's a sad day when in Sydney the death of "Superman" is more prominent than the death of Keith Miller. I'm sure all the "Tragics" on this site would have wished to have seen him play. He showed the kind of spirit and flair that can occasionally be lacking in some of today's cricketers.
