    NDO

In reply to: fraz2 on Friday 29/08/08 02:36pm September looks like it will be an exciting month for NDO with Galoc Oil flowing and a ripper drill .
  2. There has been some significant buy parcels lately . Think it may be ready for a good run now .
  3. In reply to: arty on Wednesday 27/08/08 12:02pm Thanks Arty, I'll have a read . Been a long term follower of NXS and speculate they are at risk of some uninvited corporate action whilst a significant potion of ther stock is still in the hands of a depressed AZA/ROC entity . I have noticed some unflinching large sized bids have been made over the past couple of weeks . NXS are negotiating to farm out some more Crux gas field but looking at some of the recent LNG style deals being done for Queensland Coal Seam Methane, I speculate that a few international firms may actually be looking at NXS as a whole . I copied the table below from another site (thanks Sharpedge), but I cannot vouch for the up to date accuracy - Date...... BROKER.....Target .... 4. Could a resident chartist please give me an opinion of the NXS chart ? Looks like a triangle to me .....
  5. Chart looks very enticing . No expert, but looks very much like an ascending triangle has formed .

In reply to: fraz2 on Monday 25/08/08 04:10pm I will be eagerly anticipating this drill . 18 million barrels and very attractive seismic with similar regional structures having a higher than 50 % success hit rate ..... Chart well off the highs with good support at 30 cents ..... Galoc oil to start flowing anytime .

    BNB

In reply to: BSA on Friday 22/08/08 02:31pm I don't think anyone says it is without risk and the price reflects that but if S and P are saying that BNB are doing all the right things to survive then who am I to argue . The "milk bar" is in profit and the competitor across the road is not supporting it . What's new ?

    BNB

In reply to: Nkosi on Thursday 21/08/08 06:44pm Standard and Poors has reaffirmed its rating for BNB . Possibly BNB has been over punished when it appears they are making all the right moves to survive ? I think there is a good chance of this one moving back to the high $2's to low $3's over the next week especially if shorters decide to cover positions .

In reply to: blowout preventer on Wednesday 20/08/08 10:18pm I agree, wrong time to bail and good value imo . Over 140 metres of oil shows to test and people bailing now . I thought a chance to get in the 20's was gone months ago .

    CMR

In reply to: Krumbs on Wednesday 20/08/08 08:19am Commiserations Krumbs . I heeded your wise words here and applied a very tight stop loss and needless to say I took a small loss, which could have become signifcant if I'd held to today . Thanks and here's wishing you a good recovery . I see Huntleys has downgraded valuations .

    IPO

A bit of guidance today on the NKP option to takeover IGC : two independent valuations to occur and an offer or negotiated outcome expected by October . One for the mildly patient . I'd assume a price at least in the 60's by mid October .

In reply to: kelt on Thursday 14/08/08 04:05pm I think the billboard "seller" at close the last two days does not intend to get hit but probably loves being disruptive and contoversial on the forums . There are only 127 million shares and volumes at the current levels suggest buyers are chewing through the seller/s happily . There has been half a percent (average) of total scrip willing to buy to levels 10 cents under trading levels over the last week . Production only weeks away .

In reply to: davo22 on Tuesday 12/08/08 11:49am I don't think I would be in anymore either if it wasn't for Goldman Sachs and Macquarie working for the company in different capacites, and also the new director appointment . I am only a moderate holder and the cash burn and continued inability to attain previous guidance is corrosive of sentiment to say the least . The last quarterley set out 8 weeks of significant targets . Lets see .

In light of the update yesterday, and some largish buy orders being hit (ie not pulled like props) is CMR looking like a good buy to people now ?

    SRX

In reply to: theadder on Monday 11/08/08 08:21pm Interesting tmes here . Aussie dollar coming off its highs is good for SRX fiscal concerns . Co is bringing in receipt over $3 million a month with A$ at its highs . Hunter Hall were incresing holding last time they notified the market . Commonwealth Nominees were reducing last time they notified . UniWA court case is won by SRX and costs are to be decided in September, but Dr Gray is still tied up in legal action with the Uni . Dr Gray is the largest shareholder and is wishing to compete with SRX ..... From a speculative POV, one would think that if Dr Gray and Com Nominees are potential complete sellers, then SRX may be easier corproate prey than ever before ? The last t/o offer at $5 could not attract the major holders . Now may be the time? Bayer maybe ?

In reply to: denpal on Thursday 07/08/08 04:19pm But if there was something wrong that somehow you knew, wouldn't you liquidate out ? Lets face it it got to 93.5 cents . Not much further to 90 cents, and yet near close there was 670,000 willing buyers down to 90 cents . One dump could have relieved the seller of 0.5 % of the company's scrip . But they didn't dump . I reckon this either is something to do with shorting or manipulating for unknown agenda (like a takeover) . Tomorrow I buy .

In reply to: kelt on Thursday 07/08/08 03:03pm Can't help thinking it may be time to enter . There are 640,000 to buy down to 90 cents . If there was a willing substantial seller needing the exit now, the opportunity for volume exists now . It appears he wants more than sub $1 for his shares .

In reply to: bello on Friday 04/07/08 09:52am http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?...08060700097268A A big deal coming for NKP by the looks .

    IPO

Link to the NKP/Xstrata side of the speculation : http://www.investegate.co.uk/Article.aspx?...08060700097268A and the other part of the speculation (IGC takeover is below) *Note : neither ASX company has announced yet so please DYOR . The West Australian Business Nkwe Platinum targets International Goldfields KATE EMERY 277 words 6 August 2008 The West Australian Second 48 © 2008, West Australian Newspapers Limited Tony Sage’s International Goldfields is expected to unveil a takeover proposal from Nkwe Platinum today, tipped to value the company at as much as $140 million, after its suitor secured a farm-in deal with a major platinum producer over the Genorah Farms project in South Africa. It is understood Nkwe is set to swallow International after signing a potentially large deal on Monday with an unknown platinum producer to farm into a handful of Genorah leases, over which it has an option to acquire 59 per cent and International has a right to earn up to 15 per cent. The identity of Nkwe’s new partner is unknown but it is thought to be one of the big players  Xstrata, Anglo Platinum, ZimPlats or Aquarius Platinum. The size of the deal is also unclear, though Nkwe paid $275 million last year to exercise its option over the project. It is believed a price for the proposed merger between International and Nkwe has not been fixed but will be tied to the value of the Genorah project, thought to contain millions of ounces of platinum and located in the rich Bushveld Complex’s eastern limb. It is unknown if the bid will be cash or scrip. A source close to the deal suggested last night the offer could be north of $1 a share and as much as $1.20, a hefty premium to the company’s last traded share price of 54.5¢. Nkwe, which went into a trading halt on Monday, was last traded at 98¢. International’s shares were placed in a trading halt yesterday.

    IPO

Looking good if media reports are accurate . NKP to JV with Xstrata on its SA Platinum projects and the entity plan to takeover IGC . A journalist from the West Australian says the deal could be worth $140 million to IGC . Not yet known if cash or scrip or both . Last market cap for IGC was $64 million . I stress I am not aware of the accuracy of the West Australian report, but I read an interview with the Xstrata management which appears to confirm the deal with NKP at least .

IGC in trading halt pending an announcement of an agreement with NKP . This has been negotiated since March, so fingers crossed .

Production begins, from the first well . Numerous more currently being tied in . Next few weeks should see significant initial production . $15 million in the bank, high oil prices, light sweet crude, low scrip, low market cap, long life, onshore ..... It's late, but it's here now .
