  1. ..yet NAB has gone up http://www.asxboard.com/html/emoticons/thumbdown.gif
  2. This is now beyond a joke - down 2% today
  3. Talk about ridiculous. The market my be falling heavily lately, but WOW should not be part of this mayhem.

24% rise today...i should have had more confidence in myself and bought http://www.asxboard.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif I hope you are still holding forecast.
  5. blackbook - I can't see the lowerside of $10 ever being hit again for WOW. tex - I do think WOW will pull back a little (has been slowing down...but i think a pullback as far as $11.30 is pretty optimistic - would be a good buy point however). Fortunately QAN has broken out of the $3.30-$3.40 range to keep my portfolio marching forward while ION and WOW have slowed. By year end I'd be happy with...WOW @ $13.50, QAN @ $4, ION @ $3 to give a solid 20% return for '04 calendar year...althought I think these figures could certainly be beaten.
  6. Saw that actually - but I sold out this morning above 60cents. This company still has some inherent risks, and that price spike made it too attractive to me not to sell out
  7. Yeah all I know is it's expected to be in February sometime - couldn't give you an exact date at this stage.
  8. WOW continuing to run, has probably ran a bit too far for it to be a great buy now - possibly a couple of options could still be an alright play though.

Strong 3.33% bournce by ION back up to $2.17. Must have been partially influenced by perpetual eating up all those shares the other day.

Thanks Meteor, might be a blessing in disguise that I don't have enough cash on hand at the moment to invest more into this company. Someone on another forum said they rang their full service broker...and the seller codes matched up to instituitions..so could be an idea to watch this one for a few weeks-month and see what develops before hooking in again...could be a short term price drop, although i am very confident about my $2.29 entry price over the 3-4 term. I really think $4/share in 4 years time is definately achievable for ION, while paying an excellent dividend. incl div's i think its realistic to expect 20% p.a. from ION. I'm not saying this year will experience this performance, but looking back in 4 years time I think this will be achieved. (My assessment is based on fundamentals, predicted growth earnings, its current low p/e ratio, and excellent management who have delivered to their demanding targets set in the past)

management forecasted revenue to double in the next 4 years, while maintaining profit margins. Currently trading on a P/e of around 8.5....assuming management expectations too high and a drop off in the car market, I still think this stock has to have some more awesome growth in the near future.
  12. No worries stocko, I also apologise as some of my comments were out of line from my typical behaviour, and the post I made on Dec 11 2003, 02:59 PM was uncalled for. I guess blews are going to occur occassionally, so let's just all move on and continue with some good, clean and informative discussion.
  13. WOW certainly had a nice little breakout, but it has retreated the last couple of days. Hopefully it can sustain the break out through and after the xmas period and push $12.
  14. monster, As far as I can recall I gave a clear and informative view on a couple of the insider trading provisions that many people forget when talking about insider trading. i.e. not just direct trading offences, but also the procuring and tipping offences. I offered stocko some friendly advice, advice that I seem to recall being echoed by a moderator on this site as well. Now your willing will say that I add nothing of value? In my next post i responded to stocko's allegations that we were blatantly making up the insider commentary on no basis what so ever. With the goal of showing stocko the basis on which these comments were made and hopefully helping stocko fully understand the insider trading provisions. (he claims to know, but based on his postings i think he is a bit confused about it). Perhaps my final post was unwarranted, but surely the abusive nature of stocko's posts would get many of us riled up (as they have). I then say absolutely nothing to you monster, yet you feel the need to cheap shot back at me.... So I say nothing to you, but you cheap shot....yet stocko blatantly abuses myself and others, and when i say something derogatory back i'm told that "i add nothing...go back to where i came from".... Clearly I guess I shouldn't state my opinion in a public domain of what I think about your comments monster, perhaps you didn't think before you said that and just stereotypically labeled me as another basher/ramper on these forums? I guess I'll just have to do the right thing and give you the benefit of the doubt. Stockpanther.
  15. I was going to post something derogatory about stock and KCG's 15% back track today, but i decided not to. Glad there is now one less ramper/trouble maker on australian investing forums. http://www.asxboard.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  16. stocko......you said that you had to shut up about it because you would get your balls cut off if you released the info? How the hell else are we meant to take that besides insider information? You said that you couldn't trade the stock, because you knew to much...that means that you are an INSIDER!! So how are we making up this insider crap? You say you have an excellent knowledge of the insider trading provisions, yet you wonder where the hell we got our basis from for suggesting that you appear to possess some inside info and may be using it misappropriately? QUOTE Being in receipt of insider information is not an offence unless you act on it (Buy/Sell) Passing that information on is an offence but only if it can be proven that you where in knowledge that the information was non public domain Correct, stocko saying he knew 'too much to buy more' implied the info was not publically available, so if after this he went about talking the stock up crazily thats procuring IMO. Stocko, my first post started out simply warning you to be careful. You retorted to this post by saying that we have sour grapes, unable to understand ASX announcements and that we are self serving childish brats. In my post i said that I have no interest in Gold or any resource stock as this is not my field of expertise and would not touch KCG with a 40 foot pole. I have no time for someone who took a piece of friendly advice and then just threw it back into everyones faces...you may be an excellent researcher as you claim to be, but you've got a hell of a way to go when it comes to not being a arrogant, self-centred and egotistical. You posted at 11:08am that you were never coming back, but your back 10 hours laster? whats the story stocko?
  17. stocko and others who may be in the same boat, Just a friendly word of advice, I think you need to be a bit more careful with your commentry on KCG. You have indicated on a number of occassions that 'you know too much to buy more shares', hence you obviously have some sort of access to inside information that could have a material effect on the price or value of the company's shares, this classes you as an "insider" under sec 1043 A of the Coporations Act 2001. In your posts you have recognized that you know "too much" inside information to buy more shares. Good to see that you are aware of the insider trading offence. Are you aware however of the procuring and tipping components of the insider trading provisions however? Procuring offence: An insider commits a procuring offence if they procure someone else to apply for, buy or sell the company's securities. The Corporations Act defines procure under sec 1042F as "a person procures someone else to do something not only if they "incite" or "induce" them to do it, but also if they simply "encourage" them to do it" Tipping offence: you will be ok here because you haven't told anyone about 'what you know to much about". Stocko, I think in a couple of your posts you have gone very close to crossing the line for the procuring offence. You may not believe so, but your outlandish comments about 'knowing to much' then predicting 'tripling in the share price' could in fact be classed as a procuring offence. You are making extremely grand claims, and then basing it on this information you can't tell anyone because you will have your balls cut off. With this behaviour I think you are treading a very fine line (whether intentional or not). Maximum criminal penalty for this is a $200,000 fine or five years gaol or both. Anyone who suffers a loss as a result of insider trading/procurement can also recover all losses from the guilty party. Also, if the comments by Bullish saying you are lieing and ramping the stock are true than this is a breach of 'misleading or deceptive conduct' under part 7.19 of Corporations Act punishable by the same penalty as referred to before. Now stocko, I don't have a side on this, i'm not accusing you of anything and I'm not interested in mining stocks nor speculators like KCG, I just think you need to be more careful otherwise ASIC may just come knocking one day. Bye for now, Stockpanther

    ION

I'm a holder of ION, is anyone else on here a holder? Check this one out...attractive fundamnetals...does anyone have 1 year and 4 year target prices for this one?
  19. Thanks for that. To be more specific i wouldn't touch HVN unless took a naty dive back to $2.50. QAN..hmm i'm holding it at the moment, not feeling as if it will do heaps for me short term but i am willing to keep holding for a long term recovery. ION... alot of posters from another board i read at own this stock, fundamentally it's awesome, but for some reason continues to trade on a very low P/E...even the company's management really aren't sure why. I'll PM you the link.

mmmm wouldn't mind puttin a bit into ASC, shame it doesn't fit into my current financial position/strategy. It seems you have certainly done your homework though forecast, and I will be keeping a close eye on this one to see how events develop over the coming months.
  21. *nods at Meteor's technobabble* http://www.asxboard.com/html/emoticons/tongue.gif In all seriousness though, based on my own little logic I can see potential for a bullish period for this stock coming up. Just lately I've been feeling that the market has really been overreacting to events (both positive and negative), and given that woolworths was oversold and after mr corbett's comments I can see a lot of investors moving back into woolworths, especially with xmas trading coming up (not my rationale, but alot of irrational people will use this as a reason to buy back in i can guarentee it). Outside possibility of the stock even being overbought in the short term, my buying position on this one has closed and i'm just going to hold now and see how the market pans out over the next 6 months or so. Looking at ION, or hoping HVN or QAN take a significant fall again (later 2 doubtful however). Cheers, Stockpanther
  22. Meteor. Cool. I wonder if that bullish trend you predicted is going to occur, the stock certainly did well today in a relatively flat market. You must be quietly please with your first day of ownership http://www.asxboard.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif

Forecast, "restricted premises" is that in the sense that adultshop wouldnt be able to sell them? i.e. only one dealer who isn't adultshop will be able to sell them? I say this because i was reading somewhere that in NT they can sell X rated, and up there they have thriving business in there 3 stores because of this..
  24. Meteor, You know what i think in regards to woolworths http://www.asxboard.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif It's not the sort of stock that's going to make you a fortune overnight, but at current levels it is solid medium-long term investment IMO. BTW, using technical analysis have you found your timing is right more often then not? I've never been a big fan of it as you already know http://www.asxboard.com/html/emoticons/smile.gif, but if you can recommend a quality book i might have a look into it.
