After market closed the stockastics are saying its in severe overbought territory.
Couple of points about your post In TA, you never make BUY/SELL decision based on a single indicator, especially Stochastics. Stochastics are Momentum indicators, and therefore their use needs to be "moderated" depending on the underlying state of the stock, eg sideways trading as opposed to one in a trend. It isn't in a "severe" overbought. Currently the Stoch Oscilator is at 80, this is neither over bought or over sold. Other Momentum indicators which can also focus on "over bought and over sold", such as RSI, do not indicate over bought. RSI currently is approx 63, which is neither over bought or over sold. MACD, also a momentum indicator, crossed its signal line therefore suggesting a BUY As you will see below, just because a Stochastics Oscillator may enter an over bought region (> 80) doesn't mean to sell LONG positions or BUY short. The truth is that stocks can stay "over bought" for very long periods of time and during this time continue to track higher. Have a look at the chart with the circled sections, especially the July Aug 2003 area. THe most powerful use of Stoch. Osc. is divergance between the indicator and the underlying price.
