  1. My pessimistic guess is a fizzler of an announcement, typical sla fashion after close on a friday to avoid the wrath of shareholders over the weekend. Hope i'm wrong though!ÂÂÂÂÂÂ
  2. This post is not in the context of the thread, just wanted to express a bit of an i-thought-so in regards to the 'big launch' of ropren. Yet again the directors get their remuneration report, the company gets most of the funds from the now paid slaca's thanks to the big pump up before the due date. I was going to pay them, but decided not to at the last minute. I'm not putting another cent of my hard earned into this co. We'll see if they ever sell any volume of courses. Happy to be proved wrong. I STILL hold.... :-(
  3. Ahh it's ok I'll send a cheque, just wanted to do it the 21st century way.
  4. Someone mentioned paying the slacas by B-pay. I'm looking at my call payment notice and it seems the only provisions for payment are via cheque. Anyone know if there are Bpay details and if so where? Cheers
  5. Well they've looked forwards to sales before without saying anything about a 'big launch'. What are we talking, the president cutting a ribbon or something? What I'm saying is that I bet after the launch there will be something else before any money is exchanged for ropren. That said I am a long term holder just a jaded one. And understandably so, particularly when im being asked to pay up for my slacas at the moment.
  6. I'm serious. Is there any indication as to when sales and money come? Or is it just assumed it will happen after the launch?
  7. After the 'launch', when do we get sales? Or do we need a post-launch sales licence?
  8. Some quick quotes from announcements, not including what Denis was saying on BRR or in the annual reports: 25/01/2006: "The directors anticipate the full registration of Ropren should be in place during the second quarter of 2006 with the first sales generated in the third quarter" 28/02/2008 "Ropren will be available for sale in russia towards the end of april 2008" 02/10/2009 Message From the Chairman - "the big launch is scheduled for the second half of november" I have done this in 10 minutes, I would find more if I looked harder, through the annual reports and through BRR. I'll believe it when I see it. And I hope I do see it, I hold a lot of shares.
  9. Thanks for your responses to my last post. When's the opes money coming, and how much $?
  10. Hi all, Very long time, no posts from me. I've held on since opes and kept an eye only half on the stock. What I am picking up and have for a long time is a strong trend of big promises just before the directors are about to get their bonuses approved, followed by endless delays. We all remember how they can put these launch dates off... I suspect that the touted launch of ropren in 'late november' will not be what it seems. It will either be put off while SLA blames someone else for a delay in acquiring a 'licence' of sort or volume will be nowhere near expected. Can anyone please answer - Who knows when the last day is to pay the SLACAs ? Or sell them? Has Denis Kilroy bought back in?? Does he even still hold? Cheers
  11. Yep, I finally got my slaca's as well. :-)
  12. Interesting take on it Super E. It's not inconceivable that they are expressing those thoughts through the announcement.
  13. Not sure if I follow the logic that Russia can't pay for Ropren because of the GFC. The $1000 contribution/subsidy from the government is pure logic from them designed to increase the uptake, the widespread health benefits, and therefore the general load (therfore cost) on the health system. Spending money saves them money. As for the extra $125 the consumer has to pay, that's less than $10 AUD per week over the three month course.
  14. Maybe they're looking at buying back the lots of 5m shares bought up in the opes fire sale. I presums with opes settlement money? But what's so delicate about it? By my reasoning, 'delicate' is code for 'secret, don't tell anyone!'.
  15. Just called the company. I was trying to speak to a director about the share issue and also a few company related questions. First call at 12:50pm answered by 'Jennifer' was told 'they're in a meeting, should be out by 2pm'. Called at 2:15pm, was told they're still in the meeting, but they had adjourned, and gone back in. I then spoke to 'Kim', was told they have sent share allocation off to the share registry a week ago, and it usually takes 7-10 days, so it shouldn't be too long before we see the SLACA's in our accounts. I got Peter's email address and will send him an email. Cheers
  16. To me this was an unexpected announcement. Thinking back though, I was at the shareholder information evening in Melbourne and Denis did not look the picture of health at all. If it is the case that he has been sick and has held out as long as he could, then I am sorry to see him go. This does seems to be the case, as they already have a replacement. It's not like he has suddenly resigned and jumped ship, so to speak. The other directors must have been aware of this for some time and thus have sorted out his replacement. I only hope this is the truth. However, Denis may be aware of more delays etc and is not willing to stick around for them. It certainly raises some questions in my mind. I mean whatever happened to "Volume sales in Russia are expected to commence within weeks." (Announcement 30th September 2008) I suppose there are 52 'weeks' in a year...
  17. People looking for something better to do than weaving pine needle baskets should re-visit: http://www.brr.com.au/event/24159/sla-upgr...cutive-director It's interesting to hear things from Denis from past years in the current climate. Shows how positive he was before opes... If we assume opes delayed the company by 6 months and the Tomsk A plant upgrade delayed sales by six months, then it's easier to forgive sales not happening sooner. I for one am optimistic that once shortfall and shares have been allocated, we will see strong progress this year, including the coveted Russian Ropren volume Sales.
  18. My own Ruski-english translation: On 11/01/09 Solagift held a meeting with Czech engineering 'FAVEA'. Solagift had FAVEA examine Solagran's ability to produce polyprenols to a GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standard in the Tomsk Economic Zone. (I assume regarding the plans for the new plant) At the meeting, they discussed the land plot, security, and 'limit loads of utility networks' and how they will access them. (I assume this refers to how much pine foliage then can truck in.) The end findings of this meeting will be available in March or April this year. SO they've had a private engineering company look at the conceptual design of the new plant to ensure it can operate to GMP standard. Tops.
  19. Ahh, Tricom is going to set my country music award on fire? So they made a bad recommendation... let's count how many brokers were recommending ABC learning centers.
  20. In reply to: fredick on Tuesday 20/01/09 01:22pm I called the company yesterday about taking up some shortfall, got a bloke called 'Dennis' (not Kilroy...) who said I would have no problem getting 10,000 shares if I sent them through a direct deposit with my HIN as the reference. So I did. I didn't ask how close they were to being filled, but I imagine there would be some yet to be filled if I have no problem getting my shares. Must have been a few people not take up the offer, as it seems most people here have, and I just got more than double my allocation. (If it's filled, which shouldn't be a problem...) I'm looking forward to late 2010 when that option should be nicely in the money.
  21. In reply to: AFU on Sunday 11/01/09 09:25pm I'd be stating the obvious to say I thought we'd have revenues by now.. But there are delays of course. When the revenues come, they will be worth the wait. I haven't set a time by which I will sell regardless. The recent capital raising suggests we won't see the big revenues for little bit anyway. I guess my answer is I'm not sure, but I would certainly like to see Ropren revenue on the FY08/09 financials. I would like to think the capital just raised was only meant to last until then to accelerate growth, and then the directors were counting on the river of ropren revenue. It can't come too soon.....
  22. In reply to: Na$a on Thursday 18/12/08 03:10pm Ok Na$a you get a 'thanks' as well. Gee, big 'thanks' spenders like me really contribute to 'thanks inflation' on this board. Pretty soon the mods will have to bring out a 'thanks a bunch' button. And people say we're going into a recession.... http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif
  23. Hi ALL! Just about to Bpay for my shares, can I confirm a couple of things with some brains: 1) If I Bpay ONLY my entitlement, than that's what I will get, and no need to fill out my forms 2) If I Bpay say, double my entitlement, then I will get my entitlement and the rest of the cash will go towards more shares if they are not fully subscribed. IF it IS fully subscribed, I will get a refund somewhere along the track. Whaddyas reckon?
