In reply to: pheonix0 on Tuesday 12/04/05 11:13am I've already topped up. Definately looking at least 18 months out before taking a profit from this one. Biotec is so frustratingly slow http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/weirdsmiley.gif

Did you all miss this?? http://www.webindia123.com/news/showdetail...50302&cat=world Melatonin an effective sleep aid for insomniacs:- Washington | March 02, 2005 3:20:14 PM IST A new study conducted by researchers at Massachusetts Institute of Technology suggests that melatonin is an effective sleep aid for older insomniacs and others. The researchers led by Professor Richard Wurtman showed that only a small dose of melatonin (about 0.3 milligrams) is necessary for a restful effect. It not only helps people fall asleep, but also makes it easier for them to return to sleep after waking up during the night. To determine conclusively whether melatonin works or not, the scientists in the current study analyzed 17 peer-reviewed scientific papers about the hormone. The experiments reported in each paper had to satisfy specific criteria. For example, each had to be placebo-controlled and include objective measurements on at least six adult subjects. "A meta-analysis essentially tells 'yes' or 'no'-that a treatment does or does not have a significant effect. When a meta-analysis says 'yes,' there should no longer be any controversy about whether the treatment works," Wurtman said. The melatonin meta-analysis delivered a definitive "yes." Wurtman notes that some of the 17 studies included in the analysis involved very high doses of the hormone over long periods, a situation where we know it's not going to work." Yet the meta-analysis still showed that the hormone's positive effects on sleep "are statistically significant," he added. (ANI)

No comment from Oracle and others on yesterdays ann. I thought it was pretty sterling but look to the experts in this field as I am still a novice with gas...except when i eat beans http://www.ShareScene.com/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif

Does anyone have nay update on the Aion distribution?? Wasn;t the time line for Aion post Nasdaq listing of PSD?? I topped up on PSD the other day at a buck and some change but have no idea what the offer will be in regards to # of PSD = # of Aion
  5. The US housing market is cranking. Will be interesting to see the shares perfomance over the next two weeks as the news is digestd. 6.80ish seems to be key support, (where it is now), hopefully a consolidation between 6.80 and 7.00. Cheers

Well back online after the big move to the US. I'm now officially an Arizonan and loving it. Good to see not much has happened since I have been off line, some stops fired on AGX and PTD, but that's what they are for. PSD still trying to break the 1.40, maybe in the new year.
  7. In reply to: spyglass on Thursday 02/12/04 11:56am I love the double blind stuff, may/may not be causing the improvements, of course Glucoprime is the reason behind the healing. Wasn't it you Andy at the AGM that was saying afterwards bandaids with Glucoprime!!! What a market that could be.
  8. Well I'm in for a short run with the TLS. Let's hope they come with a quick ann re replacement. Shame Cheney has already gone to NAB and Morschell has already gone. I hope it;s not David Murray, though given the TLS machine it may not be such a bad fit. I expect a small pop in the price tomorrow as the ramifications of the news sinks in.

What did we have a patient die or something http://www.ShareScene.com/html/emoticons/wacko.gif 350K on the by side and over 1.5M on the sell side, right on key support going back to Oct 19 and then previously resistance in July.

In reply to: fastenyourseatbelt on Wednesday 24/11/04 04:22pm Not I either, I would like to think I can get at least $3 before the middle of next year.
  12. BIL recovering somewhat from the sell off, but it may become range bound again. Good buying this morning taking it away from oversold levels. Expect a move back to 7.10 - 7.15 in the short term as long as the US/AUD doesn't rise up to 80c and rather loses a bit back to 75c.
  13. In reply to: LookingConfident on Monday 22/11/04 02:20pm Your psychic powers worked, but nothing really exciting just some extra funds to help take Glucoprime through phase II and hopefully III

And back down again, it just can not break that resistance at looks like this sideways action could continue for some time. Original plan still in play, looking for close above 0.74.

You know I'm in the stock, sitting on some profits not too eager to sell just yet till I know more about the div/buyback or further plans and may even pick some more up if the price is right, I am expecting bigger things over the next 6 months, HOWEVER, To say PTD is the second biggest earner behind CSL whilst it may be factually true is somewhat a positive spin on the situation. I mean CSL EPS $1.23, PTD EPS 0.17, that's a lot of daylight.

Using Marketscan looking for veterinary I picked up the following stocks; AGX BGN - Bresagen, who is a private co now??? MVP - Medical developments. which is vet. equip. PTD - Peptech Cheers

Hands up who wishes they had bought more Peptech?? hindsight is a wonderful thing PS. I agree payment should be somewhere in the vicinity of 75M working on 2% and taking sales of 1.25B for 2002 and the same again for 2003 and the bulk of 2004. Adding in the new aggreement even if at 1% on the now 2BUSD sale PA, then that should be about 20MUSD ongoing PA or around 26M AUD at 77c which capitalised at 10 times earnings gives us an extra 260M to the market cap that's 1.62 per share and 46c per share for extra cash says add $2 to the current price for around $3.60 per PTD share before we even start to get into stretching the numbers. Of course it is late and I'm sure there is somone that can pull these numbers apart with countless flaws!!! Needless to say, lovin it!!

In reply to: jerry on Monday 15/11/04 01:28pm haha...Bush wouldn't even be able to spell Biosilicon, let alone understand it. Now if someone sadi hew this will make a great weapon, or a better way to execute people that's a different story. I'm not holding too much hope on intelligent advice to the president, but I do like PSD's story more than just a bit. Good find though!!!

In reply to: slayer on Monday 15/11/04 11:40am Yes, there is prehaps more unknown than there was before http://www.ShareScene.com/html/emoticons/weirdsmiley.gif I for one will be waiting until the ann re dividend or share buy back scheme is announced and profit guidance is given, only then can we make some sense of where PTD is and is headed. Not getting too carried away, but so glad I got back in at 1.48, looks like an easy 100% bu Xmas is on the cards so I guess the strategy may be sell half and let the rest ride http://www.ShareScene.com/html/emoticons/lmaosmiley.gif

    SPC

Now a couple of months to truely evaluate CCA and decide whether to take the scrip or cash/scip or cash offer. Initial thoughts are, CCA could really do some good with SPC brand (lots in the rags about this today) but does is management capable and the fact that Alanta is helping the bid encourages me somewhat as more than one set of eyes are clearly on this "strategic" acquisition by CCA. Will post my findings later, probably in the new year!!! Cheers

    SPC

And the deal is as good as done, plus a dividend payable $2.08 for all cash $2.15 for 50% cash, 50% scrip $2.22 for all scrip All SPC holders have been rewarded very nicely, time to say goodbye to this one.
