  1. Following article believes KAR could go over $3 as a short term target.... as always do your own research before buying or selling http://friscofastball.com/2016/10/24/could...s-52-week-high/ Cheers A
  2. The guessing game continues..... AFR has pondered if WPL is the mystery partner with KAR? http://www.afr.com/street-talk/is-woodside...20161011-gs00vw
  3. Hmmm..... guessing KAR needs a hand to cough up $1.6B for the 3 Brazilian fields but could not find any direct reference to WPL being a party to the bid? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/articles/201...etrobras-fields
  4. hmmmm..... nothing from WPL about splashing out in Brazil? http://www.upstreamonline.com/incoming/144...on-and-woodside so this mornings KAR announcement mentions "pending fine print"
  5. It may pay to wait for a pull back as the SP may have been overbought in the short term according to ths US article http://www.livetradingnews.com/bhp-billito...dips-17474.html Cheers A

ho hum.... an ASX speeding ticket First oil from Aje field is expected to arrive in the UK in Sept according to http://allafrica.com/stories/201608290169.html
  7. Yeah I know its not a done deal (WPL buying out ConocoPhillips stake in the Senegal offshore tenements) but the Senegal JV plan to spud two wells starting in November 2016. At least one of the spuds will be an appraisal of one of the 0.6 -1 Billion barrel discoveries (P50) http://www.upstreamonline.com/live/1443999...negal-rig-rates
  8. Spin Doctors comments (6 Sept 2016) about WPL buying into yet to be developed Scarborough field http://www.fnarena.com/index2.cfm?type=dsp_news_latest Cheers A
  9. Spin Doctors review (23 August 2016) for WPL at http://www.fnarena.com/index2.cfm?type=dsp_news_latest Cheers A
  10. Shhhh..... WPL is north of the 50 Simple Moving Average (SMA) for the first time in 2 years http://bigcharts.marketwatch.com/advchart/...se&state=11
  11. hmmm..... According to http://www.aogdigital.com/component/k2/ite...rts-2016-target they are not drilling Big Brooks 1 and Buttons Crossing 1. Instead they are drilling Skippy Rock-1 in WA-472-P then from the same hole doing a side track to test an adjoining prospect. WPL are under contractual obligations to spud 2 wells in WA-472-P by May 2016. In theory the side track for the 2nd well will save them $$ as they don't lose time moving the semi-submersible rig to another location but the 2nd target may be a smaller consolation prize. Seems like the 2nd target is only to satisfy contractual deadline obligations and save up to a fortnights worth of drilling but not really to test the potential of other play types within WA-472-P
  12. Now that Roc-1 has been confirmed as a condensate rich discovery in WA-437-P. There will be interest to see if the trend extends south into the adjoining WA-472-P and WA-473-P (to complete the trend between Angel platform to Roc-1 in WA-437-P). Big Brooks 1 and Buttons Crossing 1 are due to spud in WA-473-P in the coming month (or two). Map can be viewed at http://www.woodside.com.au/Working-Sustain...gle%20Basin.pdf News Article link can be viewed at http://www.youroilandgasnews.com/carnarvon...ans_122153.html
  13. hmmmm.... so is it time to wade in and pick up some BHP? The shorters have finally taken a breather Yeah I know the commodities are still on the nose but the SP dive of the last 6 weeks has been overdone (compared to RIO SP) and I suspect the pendulum may reverse and there could be some near term recovery of sorts back to the low 20's (for a brief period anyway) Time will time... http://www.octafinance.com/analysts-at-mac...rice-objective/
  14. Early Bird, its a bit of a falling knife at the moment... If there is no firm support at the Fibonacci level around $19.70 then the SP could move down to next support level around $18.75. One analyst went against the general consensus and said in a worst case scenario BHP could drift down to $A16.
  15. Early Bird.... the Fibonacci levels for BHP are around $19.70 and $18.75 it ain't going to be pretty if the SP can't hold $18.75
