Wags, Part quoted: while also developing natural Bioeffectives® for the animal health and nutrition markets,†Mr May said. This part seems to be almost a throw away line. Looks like there is not much emphasis being placed on Bioeffectives side. I wonder if they are meeting their criteria relating to their involvement. Rufous

BPO seems to have gone into SLA mode. No announcements. Shared directors but no shared info for shareholders.
  3. di, I think the doctors are bombarded with so much stuff that does not prove to be of much value they become very sceptical. Just ask someone who has cancer how many "experts" have come out of the woodwork with their favourite potion or "cure". When it is all said and done there are very few remedies that make the grade. The best form of marketing is word of mouth. Don't worry, when sales happen and doctors can see results word will spread. I personally think they should sell to whoever they can and if supply dries up the price increases which is the law of supply and demand. However, I think we are stuck in the morass of Russian taxation law. Rufous.
  4. Oddchild, you stated - "I actually don't know if it is available commercially yet." This suggests you have an insider in the company. Do you have any other info that the coy has not released? Perhaps they are playing cricket in Russia. More likely poker I suppose. Come on, any aces up the sleeve? Rufous

Company Annoucement BioProspect Limited ("BioProspect") regrets to announce the death of former BioProspect Director Mr Peter Adrian Stedwell. The Company has been informed that Mr Stedwell passed away on Monday 30 March 2009. BioProspect extends its condolences to Mr Stedwell's family and friends on behalf of the Company and shareholders. Mr Stedwell was a diligent and active member of the Board who performed his duties admirably. BioProspect will shortly commence considerations regarding a suitable replacement. Is this "former" because of his death or had he resigned and we haven't been advised? According to BPO announcement on 1/9/08 Peter joined SLA Board on 7/11/1997. A long time which must have brought a high degree of stability and efficiency. Peter will be missed. Rufous.
  8. Some good news. We used Bio A on two worts on my daughter's hand. After only one application one wort has disappeared completely and the other is nearly gone. Rufous
  9. I wonder what's happening to the 15 KGs being manufactured now. Maybe being sold on black market with revenue not reaching SLA.
  10. Kilroy resignation not showing on COMSEC for me yet.

  13. Thanks to Charry and Macrae - Google Ropren +California and one site presents: <H2 class=newsTitle>Rehab News: New drug treating effects of alcohol addiction</H2>An Australian company has announced successful results of a drug trial, revealing the effectiveness of the drug Ropren in combating the effects of long-term alcohol dependence. Clinical trials were carried out by Solagran Limited between 2006 and 2007, providing evidence of effectiveness in treating the effects of second-stage chronic alcoholism. Results of the trial, which monitored 60 experimental patients and 30 control patients, included the improvement of the functioning of the liver, pancreas and kidneys, normalisation of blood sugar and cholesterol levels and an improvement in cognitive function. The drug, which was administered for a month, was also found to have an anti-depressant effect for many of the patients, as well as rapid control of alcohol abstinence syndrome. Trials also showed that unlike other treatments, the length of time the patient had been suffering from alcoholism did not affect the efficacy of Ropren. Last month Solagran was awarded a patent for the use of Ropren in the treatment of conditions arising from long-term addiction to both alcohol and drugs. Article published on 15/02/2008 by DryOutNow.com Gives a nice feeling to remind ourselves of what may be in the future. Rufous

  15. Wish everyone would stop blaming the GFC (Geelong Football Club). Like SLA, GFC can look forward to the year ahead that was meant to be the year behind. Rufous.

I see BPO took up 250,000 SLA options in recent issue.
  17. Just went into my COMSEC portfolio to see if allocated new options. Have deliberately not checked the porfolio for about 2 months as the red ink makes me feel sick. Now I feel like crying. Oh, by the way, I did get my options. http://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/sadsmiley02.gifhttp://www.sharescene.com/html/emoticons/sadsmiley02.gif

  20. Problems ahead for the banks. TodayTonight included a story of mortgagees having their loans called in for being late with repayments. One case was a minor amount of about $300 against a mortgage of $220,000 that was caused by a mix-up and straightaway fixed. The bank said too late, your loan must be repaid. This is what happened in 2000/1 when the banks capital ratios got into trouble. There is no honesty left by these suckers and time is their enemy. The Australian housing market is yet to hit bottom. Forced sales of properties will cause further declines in values and more mortgagee sales. A declining market declines further.

  23. In reply to: paulhart on Thursday 10/07/08 09:54pm Could be they were not mentioned in lists of substantial holdings because there was less than 5% held. CPI was on Primebroker list as 350,000 held out of total shares issued of 57.9m. Some of the ANZ announcements are convoluted and designed to confuse unless you have inside knowledge. Patience is still the word I guess.
  24. Hi all, The following announcement was made for MMY, CPI and LLT in three separate "Ceasing to be a substantial holder" notices made 6.19 to 6.21 tonight: ANZ has ceased to have relevant interests in the securities referred to in the adjacent columns. No consideration was provided to ANZ that was directly referable to the securities. This may be due to one of a number of reasons including but not limited to, the following: the securities were returned by ANZ to the counterparty to an Australian Master Securities Lending Agreement as a result of the value of the securities loaned to ANZ by the counterparty exceeding the collateral provided by ANZ to the counterparty; the securities were returned to a client of ANZ (or a client for whom ANZ Nominees Limited originally held the securities as a bare trustee) who had previously made the securities available to ANZ to be loaned out by ANZ pursuant to its securities lending program on behalf of the client, and who had since withdrawn those securities from ANZ's securities lending program; or the securities were originally received by ANZ as a result of a corporate action (such as a bonus issue) in respect of securities acquired by ANZ pursuant to an Australian Master Securities Lending Agreement and were transferred to the counterparty in accordance with the terms of the agreement. Any thoughts?
